i prefer the games that paradox produce since they simulate the periods that interest me such as Victoria II, Hearts of Iron Series and Europa Universalis. i do like their games, but one weird thing is that as America, I joined with prussia in one of the Austro-Prussian brothers wars, I occupied Vienna for a time and ended up carving out an American SoI Ruthenia.

I'm excited for the new Supreme Ruler game that's coming out. This time they're having it in like 1938.

Sort of related to video games; I found that the Metro 2033 game hardly follows the plot of the novel. Makes me rather worried about the upcoming sequel. Last light isn't being finished by THQ, yet more to worry about.

Well, early on England fell as a power as they usually do, only they ended up under a Personal Union lead by Bavaria in the 1450's, Bavaria became a core tenant to the Holy Roman Empire very early on and was was the Emperor for a lengthy amount of time, lasting until about 1550, however Austria and Bohemia came in and beat them off the continent through various wars, and by the 1600's they were beaten off of mainland Europe entirely, they migrated entirely to England, at the moment it's a strong mix of Anglo-Saxon and Bavarian cultures, with a lot of Bavarian ethnic groups coming over escaping mainland Europe each month.

Thanks. Would you mind telling me what is going on in norhtern south america. North America as you can see is almost entirely Dutch (this is the nation I was playing as), it discovered the New World in 1421 setting up outposts in Pensacola and Mobile after a short war with the Creek, it saw a huge colonization boom in throughout the entire 1500's and finished encompassing the continent by the early 1700's with it's only real rival on the continent being France with whom it fought many sporadic wars in North America as a result to wars going on in Europe. The Netherlands saw a huge power resurgence in Europe under King Pieter Driesman in 1677 where a general European conflict erupted over Holland's claims to the lowlands, it was a 24 year war that lead to the death of 2.8 million soldiers roughly 1% of all of Europe's population. The main belligerents were, Holland, Prussia, and Scandinavia versus the Holy Roman Empire, France and Burgundy, it saw Benelux united under one banner, and portions of the Rhineland, more of the Rhineland was taken as well as Northern Germany through other wars between these two factions. Spain and Portugal were the early colonizers of South America, with Spain taking almost everything other then what is Portuguese, however, through many years of bad luck they completely collapsed after a costly war with France that saw it's entire country ripped apart as Castile, Catalonia, Narvarra, and Grenada erupted into civil war, it is now a shell of it's former self residing in what is today New Zealand and Australia, all of it's colonies in South America followed by declaring independence such as Gran Venezuela (OTL Colombia & Venezuela) La Plata, and Chile. Portugal still controls Brazil directly.

Interesting world of yours. But anyway, what's with that blue southern Mexico, yellow Australia, dark blue Peru and light blue Central America? Peru and Southern Mexico are French colonies. Spain and New Zealand are the last enclave of the Spanish Kingdom, notice Iberia is Balkan-ized, Central America is a former Spanish colony, also known as the Federal Republic of Central America. Let me guess. Either you played the Dutch or Croatia. I was not Croatia, they had an unusually lucky game believe it or not with not much help from me, other then liberating it early on in a costly war with Austria in the 1700's, after that they snowballed and beat the Ottoman and it's vassals Bosnia and Serbia where it took Bosnia and Montenegro, they are a Constitutional Republic. Oh and Bulgaria is a caliphate.

That map is almost worthy of its own game or scenario.

That map is almost worthy of its own game or scenario. Well it's gotta be refined but if enough people are interested I wouldn't mind it being made into an NG if enough people are interested.

Portugal still controls Brazil directly. You could at least get the stats right. Our war which was The Netherlands and Scandinavia vs Austria,Bavaria and the Holy Roman Empire had 2.8 million casualties by itself. Out of those 2.8 million dead our forces only accounted for 500,000 of the dead. The war with Prussia vs Bohemia and Bavaria had an additional 1.1 million dead with only 200,000(I think) dead from Prussia. Overall those two wars killed 2.2% of the world population.

Oh which nation were you Kyrator? Glorious Scandinavia of course, the corrupt republic was replaced in 1820 by an absolute monarchy in a great coup. Well, truthfully I just thought being an enlightened despot would be funner than a republic in Vichy 2 and I hate the election system in Vichy 2 anyway.

I have a challenge in Victoria 2. Play as Great Britain, then declare war on every other GP at the same time and do not allow anyone out of the war. See what happens.
