To: Britain
From: India
We will have no part of your mad imperialist schemes to perpetuate unlawful and oppressive colonial rule in Iran and the Middle East as a whole.
We also deeply protest your use of a neutral waterway to enforce your will upon other nations, it sets a disturbing precedent and we shall have no part in it.
All British troops and vessels currently residing in Indian waters must depart immediately, consider your basing rights revoked. The Republic of India will also be suspending its Commonwealth membership until further notice.

Disaster in Khuzestan! On February 26th a oil refinery explodes close to the Iraqi border. Initial evidence points to an accident. Less than 24 hours later a oil field east of Ahvez explodes. Security footage shows two Arab, possibly Kurdish men entering the refinery just hours before the blast. These two blasts kill a total of several hundred. The fires are minor and are successfully put out before they can spread under ground. Immediately after the second blast the cause is declared an act of terrorism by Irani and international media. On March 4 a shootout occurs in the Parsi oil field. 5 men attempt to enter the oil field with large duffel bags when Irani security personal open fire. The men retreat to and hole up in a large building on the premise. The building is surrounded within an hour. Two days later after an intense firefight the building explodes leaving no survivers. 13 Iranis are killed in the blast and gunfight. On March 9th an oil field in Gach Saran catches fire. Once again terrorism is the likely cause. The field is immediately evacuated and the fire spreads underground. On March 13th a terrorist cell is located. 4 Kurdish men are arrested in the city of Kermanshah. They claim to be affiliated with the Iraqi government. On March 21st 2 men attempt to entire an oilfield with large duffle bags and are shot dead by security personal immediately. The bags contain bombs (shocking!). On March 30th 3 more terrorists are captured only they claim to be affiliated with the Saudi government. They reveal several planned terrorist attacks. Security is increased at these areas but no further attack comes. Outcome:The likeliest culprit is seen to be Iraq and the Irani populace is calling for blood. As well as the military and the government of course. Millions of dollars in damages are caused and the fires will likely blaze for many years in some areas. Irani oil production is damaged by 8% for the next two years. After that oil production will return to normal, overtime.

OOC: I disagree, perhaps should I have made more clear, these men are simply scapegoats but the world doesn't know that.
